Last May 14, around 15 laity leaders of Notre Dame of Dadiangas University gathered at the East Asia Provincial Center to re-connect and further rekindle Marist lay life.

Br. Ador Santiago, shared his time to welcome the participants and inspire them for the significant role they have in the animation of Marist lay life.

The meeting started with personal sharing on one’s journey and significant experiences of the Covid-19 crisis. The recollection of stories was brought into prayer which was led by Leah Jean Carmona.

Ms. Agnes Reyes, Assistant Director of the Secretariat of Laity, shared information about the launching of the Year of Marist Vocations.

Joining from NDMU is Ms. Elma Rafil and Ms. Darryl Jean Gevero. They shared information about the International Forum on Vocation of the Marist Laity.

Reflecting on the Statement of the 6TH East Asia Provincial Chapter, the laity leaders proposed workable plans in tune with the Chapter calls: Contemplatives of the sacred, Compassionate healers, Bridge builders, and Carers of our Common Home. All looks forward to a more engaging new academic year with the proposed activities identified. Sr. Sela Misinale, SMSM, the Campus Ministry Director, joined the said meeting and her presence of support to the initiatives has been very encouraging.
