Living Champagnats vision

Participants from Marist schools across the country met in Alice Springs for the Living Champagnat’s Vision: Solidarity Contemplative Retreat on Sunday 8th May.

The experience offered a unique opportunity to connect with the Arrernte people and experience the place of the desert in their own personal journey of prayer and discernment. Participants also deepened their own understanding of living Marist mission today through sharing the experiences of the Brothers (Brothers Rod Thompson, etc), Lay Marists and young people of the community of Santa Teresa.

The program was led by Janet Luderman, Br Peter Walsh and Peter Chalkley.
