UPDATE: Vanuatu Tropical Cyclone Harold Recovery Appeal

We have been buoyed by the initial response to our Tropical Cyclone Harold Recovery Appeal. Thank you to the individuals, schools and community groups who have contributed to this appeal. We are determined to ensure that vital repairs can be carried out at St Michel Technical College on the Island of Espiritu Santo, one of the areas hardest hit by the cyclone.

Since we last wrote to you, we have received the initial building plans for the repairs. As anticipated, supporting a remote community with such significant rebuilding during the midst of the COVID19 pandemic will require complex and sustained efforts. If you have the capacity to support us with this vital work, we can assure you that every dollar will be put to good use.

We know how important St Michel is in providing a quality education for children and young people in Vanuatu. Your support will ensure that, once schools reopen, there is a place of learning to return to for hundreds of students on Santo.

We need your support. Please make a donation online today at http://bit.ly/helpAMS and help us spread the word by sharing our social media posts on facebook and Instagram.

Thank you for being part of the Australian Marist Solidarity community and helping us build a brighter future for young people in our region.
