Twelve Brothers take part in a program for the preparation of final vow

Twelve Brothers are taking part, in Vietnam, in a program in Preparation for Perpetual Profession. They are gathered from June 23 to August 5 at the Our Lady of Bai Dau Shrine, Vung Tau City, Diocese of Saigon.

The participating Brothers are Nguyen Hoang Anh, Nguyen Duy Binh, Tran Dinh Luan, Nguyen Thanh Hung, Le Danh Thuong from Vietnam; Rubel Nokrek from Bangladesh, and Xia Baoxuan from China (District of Asia); Anthony Qummar, from Pakistan (South Asia); Romar Dave Rano, Jayjay Escuadro, from Philippines (East Asia); Than Hua, from France (L’Hermitage), and Steve Vaea, from Samoa (Star of the Sea). They come from different communities in Asia and Oceania, and many of them are student brothers in different countries universities.

The Formation team for this program are Brothers John Hazelman (Star of the Sea), Real Sauvageau (MDA), and Roy Deita (East Asia). The program is also strongly supported by Brothers Bao Nguyen (country leader of Vietnam) and Jos Long Tran (bursar of Vietnam).

The first day of the preparation started with a brief orientation led by Br. Tran Long. And Br. Canisio, District Leader of MDA, offered a warm welcome in person, while Br. Peter Carol (provincial of the Star of The Sea Province) and Br. Nicholas (Provincial of the South Asia Province) joined virtually to show their support.

Topics included in this formation program are the vocation journey, the Vows, Brotherhood and Community Living, Prayer and Interiority, Integration of the vows, Immersion experience, Synodality, Role of the Brothers in the Church, Champagnat Marist Lay Vocation, Marist Spirituality, Sexuality and Community relationships, Group and individual accompaniment. The presenters are mainly from Asia and our Brothers from the General Administration.
