Add up lives, multiply horizons

The Mission Council of the Province of Compostela has decided to set a priority on communication and has set up a Communications Office which will be responsible for defining a plan of marketing and communication for the institution and for co-ordinating strategy in this area. Among its priorities will be projecting the Marist identity and the richness of its charism, both outside and within its own Marist Family.

The Communications Office is co-ordinated by the consultant for communication and journalist, Pedro José García González, with the advice of Marist Brothers Máximo Blanco, co-ordinator of the Mission Council, Santiago Fernández, provincial secretary, Federico A. Carpintero, director of the Colegio Centro Cultural Vallisoletano of Valladolid, and Ángel Cuevas, in charge of new technologies.

In this way, the Province of Compostela is launching one of the principal objectives envisaged by its Strategic Plan for the period 2013-2016. In concrete terms, the plan of communication will place the strategy at the service of the objectives fixed in the strategic plan, counting strongly on the outreach on-line and taking advantage of the influence and extent of the social networks, without, however, neglecting other secure supports.

The Communications Office not only contemplates strategic work within the provincial boundaries of Compostela, but also a close and active relationship with the Spanish Marist  Conference and strengthening the one with the General House.
