Br. Venceslas Baindekeli appointed for a second term as Provincial of East Central Africa

The General Council has appointed Br. Venceslas Baindekeli Beimoyato as Provincial of East Central Africa for a second three-year term. His mandate will begin with the celebration of the next Provincial Chapter which will take place from 4 to 7 December 2024. The news was communicated by Br. Ernesto Sanchez, Superior General, in a letter sent to the Province on June 21.

In his letter, Br. Ernesto thanked Br. Babey for accepting, – with availability and generosity – to continue to carry out the service of provincial leadership. And he also thanked him for his closeness to the people, brothers and laypeople. Likewise, the Superior General thanked all the Brothers and Lay people of the province, for continuing to live the dream of Saint Marcellin Champagnat in your communities, schools and Marist mission, in the Central African Republic, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Brother Venceslas Baindekeli

Brother Venceslas was born in Kisangani (R.D.C.) on 15 October 1973.  His father is BOLUNDA Christophe and his mother YOHA Modestine.  He made his first profession in the Marist Institute in Save (Rwanda) on 10 May 2001 and his perpetual vows in Kisangani on 26 August 2006.

He made his superior studies in Kinshasa after being two years in the MIC. He has a degree and the diploma of specialization in mathematics in mathematics by the University of Kinshasa.

Br. Venceslas was Provincial Councilor since the 5th Provincial Chapter, and he was also Vice provincial when he was appointed Provincial for the first time in December 2021.
