Brothers and laity recall the Marist way lived and given

Continuing the year of Marist vocations, the team of lay people of Colombia, Norandina Province, convoked, in the city of Cali, brothers and lay people who have lived vocational processes and who are over 65 years of age, to share and recall the Marist life lived and given. This meeting allowed the so-called “columns of the Province” to remember, thank and transmit those experiences and moments lived from God and that today are reflected in those beautiful faces that frame years well lived of dedication and fidelity to the Charism.

This is wisely expressed in the Rule of Life of the brothers, at number 62:

To the senior brother
You are a living sign of God’s fidelity. By taking up a positive and constructive attitude, you transform your years of experience into wisdom and become a living example of our Marist spirituality and a grace for your community.
Though less active than in the past, you remain committed to the mission through your prayer, and the encouragement you give to your brothers, particularly those starting out on our way of life.
Never hesitate to offer any service within your reach, whether in the community or elsewhere; Continue to cultivate your interest in the life of our Institute, as well as the Church and world.

This is why this meeting and each one of the testimonies received from these older adults become fire for the torches that they are giving us and that we must make shine for the new generations.
