Formation of lay community animators in the Arco Norte Region

On August 30, 21 Marists of Champagnat met virtually to begin the formation of Lay Community Animators in response to one of the calls of the strategic plan of the pastoral area of the laity of the Arco Norte Region.

This formation plan seeks to respond to the needs of the community animators of the region, through the design and coordination of an integral formation plan that enhances empowerment and lay Marist leadership, strengthen collaboration and solidarity among the administrative units of the region and extend the bonds of fraternity among the Marist family of Arco Norte.

The proposal will be guided by 4 lay Marists of the region: Ana Isabel Saborio (secretariat of the laity), Claudia Rojas (Arco Norte laity), Ivana Garzón (Norandina formation team) and Edith Villalon (Marist Association Canada). The team, through synchronous and asynchronous meetings, will develop the different themes.

The formative course will conclude in October 2024 with a face-to-face meeting for all the participants.
