Human Sexuality and Celibate Chastity

On Thursday, February 2, 2006, Brother Seán delivered an address to rectors and other representatives of English-speaking seminaries from several countries around the world. Participating in the gathering were those from the Irish College, the English College, the Beda, and the North American College ? all located here in Rome ? as well as those from seminaries in New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. The meeting was held at the Irish College and members of the formation staff of that seminary also participated in the gathering.
Brother Seán?s topic was Human Sexuality and Celibate Chastity. He also addressed the recent Vatican instruction on sexual orientation and the admission of candidates to the priesthood. The group engaged in a lively discussion following his presentation. Some of the ideas that were included in the presentation are part of an article that he?s written about the topic of sexuality and celibate chastity. This article will be sent out to the Institute in the near future.
