New models of animation, management and government.

On 19 May, Br João Carlos do Prado, director of the Secretariat of Mission and Mr Peter McNamara, member of the International Mission Commission and of the team for the Project of New Models of Animation, Government and Management, paid a visit to the novitiate of Tudella in Sri Lanka.

The purpose of the visit was to make the Secretariat of Mission known and its directions and future vision of the Marist mission in the world. It was also an opportunity to share about the Marist Youth Ministry  (MYM) and the II International Marist Mission Assembly (II IMMA). The novitiate and the scholasticate are special times for coming to know and becoming engaged in the lines of pastoral action of the Institute. The task was accomplished through a session of reflection and dialogue with the novices and their formators. It was a time of exchange and looking together towards the future of the Marist charism.

At the end of the morning, there was a convivial meal at which we were able to exchange on the different cultures present today in the novitiate : Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, Australia, Brasil and Canada. It involves a great experience of internationality which translates on the local scene the global reality of the Marist Institute.

We wish to thank the Brother formators and the novices for their warm welcome, the experience of brotherhood and the friendship shown during the visit.
