Reflection, sharing and work

The Marist Union of Brasil (UMBRASIL) welcomed the members of the Superior Council in Brasilia on 23 and 24 October. Several important topics were discussed during the meeting. Among them must be noted the services offered currently to Marist Brasil, the prospects for continuing in the affair of the Project of Architecture of the Brands with the heading of the Marist Group, analysis and approval of the draft of the new Strategic Plan for Marist Brasil and for  UMBRASIL, knowledge of the Processes and Projects realised by UMBRASIL throughout 2013 and the activities to be carried out in 2014, as well as planning the budget. In addition, the Council spent some time reflecting on initial formation for Marist Brasil, as well as the need for ongoing formation for brothers and laity. When time came for sharing, the provincials and district superiors who had taken part in the General Conference at the Hermitage in France also exchanged their experiences and the impressions gained on that occasion.

On the second day, which began with a eucharistic celebration, the members of the Council and the UMBRASIL team had the opportunity to reflect on the role of UMBRASIL and share their dreams about the future of the Institution.
