Retreat and

From 16th till 20th September the retreat that was led by Brother Alain Delorme took place in Habay. The theme was, "Our Constitutions", and there was a particular focus on Chapter 2, Consecration.

Brother Alain helped us to re-read the articles which touch many aspects of our consecrated lives: prayer, apostolate, brotherhood and community life.

With fifteen participants practically all the communities in Belgium were represented.

"Day of Communion" for brothers and lay people from Belgium and the North of France

On the 12th October there was a meeting of brothers and lay people from Belgium (morning) and the North of France (afternoon).

In the morning there were two workshops:

* An introduction about a programme which runs until June and which is based on the book, 15 Days of Prayer with St Marcellin Champagnat by Brother André Roche;

* On the day before the beatifications of our brothers and lay people in Spain, a workshop on the theme, "How can our Marist martyrs be witnesses for us?"

The afternoon was spent with brothers and lay people from Marist Fraternities from the North of France. It was an opportunity to share, to discover things we have in common, to get to know each other better, to encourage each other about the future, and to reflect on the question of which plans to put into practice to help this communion to grow. The International Assembly that will take place in Nairobi in 2014 presents a source for reflection and for taking steps to promote our respective vocations.
