Young brothers united by one same ideal

This slogan brought together twenty-eight of the thirty-three young brothers of the Province of Brasil Centro-Norte at Brazlândia-DF, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd April. Brother Adalberto who accompanies the young brothers of the Province was present during the entire event. Brother Claudino Falchetto, Provincial, was also present at several times.

Various activities marked the meeting: exchanges of experiences, life sharing, prayers and celebrations, walks, fraternisation, leisure time and especially a reflection on the ?New generations in religious life?. Friar Rubens Nunes, a Capuchin from Goiás, developed this subject by using the dynamics of studying the text and group activities as his work methods.

The highlight of the meeting was an open forum on the situation of our Province and the contribution of each young brother in constructing it. At the start, Brother Joaquim Oliveira presented the financial situation of the Province, Brother Vicente spoke of the social aspect and Brother José Airton spoke of the pastoral dimension of our schools and of our social works, as well as their challenges. Then each person was able to contribute and ask questions in a fraternal and responsible atmosphere.

This meeting was remarkable for its fraternal conviviality, the support for affirming our identity as a Marist Brother and, especially, by the communion in one same ideal: to continue today Champagnat?s dream.
