21 November, 1871: Four Brothers sailed from London on the "Star of Peace" – Brothers Ludovic (French) Director, Augustinus (Scott) Sub-Dr, Peter and Jarlath (Irish).

26 February, 1872: Arrival at Sydney. Stay with Marist Fathers at Villa Maria.

8 April: School opened. St. Patrick's, Harrington Street.

30 November: Arrival of first novice, William Farrell (age, 23) who becomes Br. Edwin. 1874: Opening of St. Benedict's.

1875: Openings at Darlinghurst and Parramatta.

1876: Brother John, Provincial, arrives at Sydney.

1876: First Foundation in New Zealand at Wellington.

1878: Novitiate canonically established. Foundation at Napier, New Zealand.

1881: St. Joseph's College transferred to Hunters Hill.

1888: Mission school opened at Fiji.

1893: Visit of Superior General, Br. Theophane and Assistant Br. Procope to Sydney.

1903: Creation of Province of Australia and New Zealand.

1912: Second mission school opened at Fiji.

1917: New Zealand becomes a province.

1938: First mission school on South Solomon.

1947: Division of Australia into two Province: Sydney and Melbourne.

1948: Mission school on North Solomon.

1952: Visit of Br. Leonida, Superior General.

1959: Mission school opened by Province of Melbourne in New Guinea, diocese of Wewak.

1971: Sydney Province opens mission school at Kolombangara, West Solomon’s and at Rokera, Malaita.

1971: Foundation of Novitiate for native Brothers for missions served by the Provinces of Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand.
