European mission team

The meeting of the European Mission Team took place in the General House in rome on 13 and 14 May. Those taking part were : Br Moisés Alonso (Ibérica), Br Aureliano García (Mediterránea), Mr Christophe Schietse (L’Hermitage), Br Robert Thunus (West Central Europe), Br Gabriel Villa-Real (L’Hermitage) and Br João Carlos do Prado (Secretariat of Mission).

The agenda included the following : proposal of Intranet for the CEM ; topics relating to the Secretariat of Mission of the Institute ; study and formulation of new proposals of management and animation for the Marist works in Europe ; sharing on Christian communities of reference for the Marist works. The accent was especially on the construction of an Itinerary of formation for Marist leaders in view of the mission and of bringing the Work Plan and calendar of the team up to date for the period 2013-2014.

The meeting was held in a climate of great communion and commitment to thinking together about the future of the Marist presence and mission in the European continent. The sharing of experiences made known the great vitality and new proposals of the Provinces in the face of the challenges and calls of Marist life.
