Evaluating and celebrating the road travelled

The 4th Chapter of the Marist Province of « Brasil Centro-Sul » was held from 2 to 5 December in Curitiba. It had as objectives: to evaluate and celebrate the road travelled during the three years 2009-2011; to elect the new Provincial Council; the installation of Joaquim Sperandio, new Provincial Superior and his Council; to give directions to the brothers and the communities; to share life between brothers and laity, and to propose new priorities for the next three years.

The Province was happy with the presence of the Br Vicar General, Joseph Mc Kee, who took an active part in the session and presented in a very clear way the calls of the XXI General Chapter.

An important element to be considered was the participation of some 85 lay people in this Chapter. Affiliates, members of the Fraternities of the ChMMF and collaborators from the Marist units had the opportunity to live co-responsibility in the mission, take part in this   important event and draw up the list of priorities for the coming term.
For the period 2012-2014, the Provincial Council consists of:
