Interprovincial Novitiate of Passo Fundo

The Commission of Consecrated Life and Laity (VCL) of the Marist Union of Brasil (UMBRASIL) visited the  Interprovincial Novitiate of Marist Brasil at Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul on 8 November, with the aim of having some time of listening and sharing with the formators and the 16 novices and accompanying the processes and the running of the novitiate.

During the visit, there were times of prayer and exchange on the viewpoints of the group of formators, placing the accent on the first three years(2011-2013), and the opportunity was taken to share about some of the processes implemented in the area of Consecrated Life and Laity by UMBRASIL.

Brother Romidio Siveris, of the Co-ordinating committee of Consecrated Life and Laity of UMBRASIL, summed up the visit as follows: "During the visit, we were able to learn about the difficulties, concerns, aspirations and dreams of the young Brother novices with regard to community, spiritual and apostolic life, as well as the Novitiate’s relations with the local church and its environment.
