Life Sharing among Brothers

This event – which took place in Brazlandia from August 2 to 4 – gathered the Marist Brothers from Brasil Centro-Norte aged between 30 and 60. The motto this time was “With Mary, united in one heart, going to Jesus”, in tune with the Provincial motto for the present three-year term.

Most of the participants in this gathering presently have organizational and management responsibilities, so the program included topics regarding this kind of work. The Formation and Consecrated Life Commission conducted a survey with the participants regarding “the vitality and evangelical fruitfulness of the communities”, and also about the Policy for the Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents.

Likewise, the participants got to know the results of another research concerning the “Scenarios for Marist Religious Life in Brazil”, coordinated by the Marist Union of Brazil/UMBRASIL. There were also moments of prayer and celebration. The Provincial, brother Wellington Medeiros, accompanied the group.

There were 23 participants. Other brothers belonging to this age group attended the community leaders’ assembly, which – together with the young brothers’ meeting – represents an effort made by the Province to listen to the brothers, and foster spaces to meet and share life. Next year we will include the Third Age brothers.
