The Marist Bulletin celebrates its first anniversary today

The Marist Bulletin first appeared on December 25, 2001, a year ago today. The Chapter Bulletin published while the 20th General Chapter was in session received such an extraordinary welcome that we felt encouraged to continue this service of keeping our readers throughout the world informed. The Bulletin is published in four languages, English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish, and sent by E-mail to some 2500 subscribers. You can access all issues to date at: www.champagnat.org (XX General Chapter, last section)
Thanks to all for your great support.

A CHRISTMAS PROGRAM FOR LIFE
Jesus? birth pours out His Spirit in our hearts and the presence of His Spirit graces our lives with wholesome results. The prophet Isaiah reminds us of these, and they form the basis for a program for life (Is 61, 1-2):
– The Lord has anointed me,
– He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly,
– To heal the brokenhearted
– To proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners,
– To announce a year of favor from the Lord?
Happiness consists of living our lives with purpose and meaning. This program, practiced in concrete ways in our family life, community, workplace and society, can prompt us to respond boldly and in solidarity in a world so in need of love.
Saint Marcellin Champagnat looked upon the manger as one of his favorite places. That?s where all his dreams and plans were born. From there he claimed the energy to carry forward God?s program in his life.
Let?s share this program together!
May Jesus and our Good Mother bless us and fill us with the energy, strength, and encouragement to carry it out!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY 2003!
