School of Animation of Vocations

From 15 to 22 January 2012, the School of Animation of Vocations of the Province of Brasil Centro-Norte was held at REMAR, Minas Gerais. This gathering is a space for formation and study for those responsible for the animation of vocations: Brothers, young men in formation and lay people. Among the 50 participants at the school, there were two Brothers of the Province of « Santa María de los Andes » and two from the District of Paraguay. The Provincial Superior, Br Wellington Mousinho de Medeiros, also took part.

The topics treated in the School emerge from the life situation of Vocations Animation: the situation of youth, the situation of the Province and the young men in formation and accompaniment, step II –Model of Aid and Vocations Plan. Márcio Camacho, Br Joarês Pinheiro and Eder D’Artagnan worked as advisers, organizing the group work, very rich exchanges, and the sharing of life and the realities of each Centre of Animation of Vocations.

All took an active part in the development of the School: the co-ordination and daily prayers were organized by each of the sectors of the Province and by the visiting Brothers. The prayer times contributed to ‘making reminders’, to revisiting the Marist places and also to making a synthesis of the experiences lived, for placing before the Lord and the Good Mother. They were very full days, marked by joy and hopefulness for all, full of encouragement for the  service in the various situations. The Culture of Vocations is already a well formed reality, ready to flower.
