The Institute Celebrates Superior?s Birthday

The Institute is celebrating the birthday of Superior General Brother Emili Turú, who is turning 61 on Jan. 24.

The brothers of the General House are taking part in Sunday Mass together, followed by a meal for the day of Br Emili, who has been superior for over six years.

Br Emili was born in Barcelona in 1955, the youngest of five brothers. He was elected Superior General in 2009.

On behalf of all of the Marists of Champagnat, we would like to wish Br Emili health, peace and that the Holy Spirit fills him with blessings to continue his work of leadership, pointing to prophetic paths for the Institute’s new beginning.
