Brother Kevin Handibode awarded the papal cross

BrotherPope Benedict XVI has bestowed upon Br. Kevin Handibode, President of Christopher Columbus High School, the Papal Cross ?Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice?. It is currently given for distinguished service to the church by lay people and clergy and is the highest medal that can be awarded by the Papacy. This Pontifical Honor is a recognition for Br. Kevins outstanding witness to the Catholic faith.

The Archbishop of Miami, John C. Favalora, in the name of the Holy Father, conferred the Papal Cross during a Pontifical Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Mary on October 7.
