Province of Nigeria lost a promising student

The entire Marist family of the Province of Nigeria lost a promising student, late Master Toochukwu Chima on 27th December, 2011 at the age of 15. He was one of the best students. Until, his death, he was a dormetory prefect of the Jenior secondary school one (JS. 1E). He was a Senior Secondary school 1E(SS1E) student.

He met his untimely death when he went home for Christmas holiday during the communial clashes between Eziuno/and Eziagu in Ebony State, Nigeria as a result of a stray bullet. The entire Marist School in the province of Nigeria missed him a lot, most especially, his class mates who lamented for missing his cheerfulness, caring, loving, intelligence and neatness.

The school Chaplain, Fr. Martin who officiated the requime Mass challended the students to emulate the good life late master Toochukwu lived and bear in mind that God can call anybody at anytime. The provincial, Ezetulugo Joachim, on behalf of the province consoled the families, school and class mates of the deceased and urged everybody to be prepared always to meet God. About ten Marist Brothers, seventy staff and one thousand students were present at the Eucharistic celebration. May the soul of Toochukwu Chima and all the soul of the faithful departed, through the mercy of christ rest in perfect peace, Amen!
