10 years of Marist Union of Brazil
The Marist Union of Brazil, known as UMBRASIL, celebrated its tenth anniversary on Oct. 20.
“UMBRASIL is not only an office that clusters people, activities and meetings, but also the home of all the Marists of Brazil who believe that we can have a new relationship, a relationship based on the charism that unites and identifies us,” said the director-president, Brother Claudiano Tiecher.
Participants included the president of UMBRASIL’s superior council, Brother Wellington Medeiros, who animated the prayer, and the executive secretary, Brother Valter Zancanaro.
During the encounter the Marist Education System (EMS) and the model of the plan of studies of Marist Brazil, two large projects designed by UMBRASIL, were launched.
The Marist education system will be an integrated school and academic management solution, which includes educational counselling, complementary content and digital books, with the support of the Editorial FTD.
The model of the plan of studies includes concepts, principles and procedures that guide collective actions within the educational units.
It is a political-pedagogical and institutional framework and it is strategic for the organisation, coordination, development and evaluation of the objectives of the educational proposal of the Marist Brazil.
