Br. Alberto Schönberger
Br. Alberto Schönberger turned a hundred years old on March 5, 2015. Br. Alberto’s relatives and Brothers of nearby communities celebrated this significant event at the Champagnat Residence of the Villa San José de Luján. The celebration took place at a provincial level place on Sunday, March 8.
Br. Alberto was born in Russia. His family fled to Germany in 1921. After a difficult childhood, he arrived to Argentina in 1927. He made his first profession on January 13, 1932 and he made his perpetual profession on January 8, 1937. He moved to the Champagnat Residence in the Villa San José de Luján in February, 2007. His service transformed itself to one of “having more time for God, which amounts to his temple, more than ever” and there he was “a welcoming home, a place of listening and advice” for everyone. A real pearl for the Province and the Institute.
