Br. Carlos A. Huidobro – Reflection from the heart

Brother Carlos, Secretary General of the Institute (2013-2020), shares with the Marist world his reflections on the critical period experienced by humanity as a result of the pandemic.

Br. Carlos, inspired by Federico Fernández de Buján, proposes a Decalogue to be applied in this particular time:

• Not to become obsessed with our “ego” and to give our all
• Look up to the sky while still looking at the earth
• Do what you can and leave the rest to God
• Don’t bury the unavoidable desire to improve
• Seeking God, finding God
• Helping others to be better
• The desire to believe
• You are only happy in company
• Don’t look for happiness at a distance… it is very close to you.
• Hope that gives us peace

He ends by suggesting that we put our trust in God: “dare to ask and pray to God not to cease to be present”.
