Br. Carlos A. Huidobro – Reflection from the heart
Brother Carlos, Secretary General of the Institute (2013-2020), shares with the Marist world his reflections on the critical period experienced by humanity as a result of the pandemic.
Br. Carlos, inspired by Federico Fernández de Buján, proposes a Decalogue to be applied in this particular time:
- Not to become obsessed with our “ego” and to give our all
- Look up to the sky while still looking at the earth
- Do what you can and leave the rest to God
- Don’t bury the unavoidable desire to improve
- Seeking God, finding God
- Helping others to be better
- The desire to believe
- You are only happy in company
- Don’t look for happiness at a distance… it is very close to you.
- Hope that gives us peace
He ends by suggesting that we put our trust in God: “dare to ask and pray to God not to cease to be present”.
