Marist Schools mapping and the Global Network of Marist Schools

The Global Network of Marist Schools is an innovative project arising from the calls of the XXII General Chapter of the Institute.

This project as we already know is aimed at promoting connection and interconnection among Marist Schools around the world. It is a way of working in synergy to promote our vitality and our acting as a global family.

A major support when establishing a network of schools for our Institute is to ascertain the actual number of schools we are having around the world.  To do this, a mapping of Marist Schools becomes a necessity.

The objectives of the mapping of Marist schools are:

• Determine the actual number of schools where we minister to children and young people.
• Knowing the location of all Marist Schools around the world.
• To be familiar with the geographical position of the school.
• To access information on the schools and interact easily as a sister school.

During the meeting of the Administrative Unities leaders with the General Council in March 2020, the first lists were validated. The Secretariat for Education and Evangelization in alliance with the office of the Econome General is currently revalidating the list. All these are to minimize errors and to give us a more updated information. All Administrative Unities are encouraged to support this noble project that supports the mission wherever we have our presence to promote this synergy and make the Global Network of Marist Schools a success.
