?Marists ?towards a new land!?

This past September 11, at the Marist Center for Formation (CMF) 37 brothers and 3 lay people who work in Guatemala met to celebrate our second intercommunity meeting. It was led by Br. Hipólito Pérez, Provincial of Central America. In an atmosphere of brotherhood, we, brothers and laity together, shared our reflections on our Provinces journey over the last three years, with a view toward our upcoming 5th Assembly (to be celebrated in October) and the 13th Provincial Chapter (in December).Brother Hipólito presented the results of the Province poll/sondage, on the three priorities del trienio que finaliza (Vocation Ministry ? Shared Mission ? Spirituality). Upon finalizing the results, we had a time of personal reflection to note those priorities that echo most in our interior and that need continued moving forward. To help the reflection we had some extracts from the letter that Br. Emili Turú addressed to the Province, on the occasion of Br. Hipólito?s being appointed Provincial for another three-year term.We shared our reflections first in small groups and then in the full group. The results will be presented to the Preparatory Commission of the Provincial Assembly. We offer heartfelt thanks for the presence among us of the Marist Sisters of Champagnat, as well as to Betty de Suazo, Francisco Porres and Enrique Ramírez, the lay people who took part in the meeting. Thanks too to all the Brothers who work in Guatemala for taking the time to share, strengthen ties and dream of the new land that as a Province we feel called to experience. The meeting concluded with the Eucharist, symbol of unity and fraternity.May Mary continue leading us on our journey and so continue being the ?Gospel memory for the world? of today.?Marists, towards a new land!?___________Br.
