New members of the MChFM

On September a fraternity of the Champagnat Movement of the Marist Family (MChFM) made their public promises. After 16 years of monthly meetings, the MChFM of the Colegio Marista Asunción celebrated its official recognition in a ceremony held at 10 o?clock during the community Mass, in Our Lady of Glory parish. The celebration continued at 12 o?clock with a meal of fraternity.
The MChFM brings together people who live the Marist charism within their lay state, demonstrating, in this manner, the Marist style in their families, their professional activities and their circles of friends.

The fraternities are groups or communities who meet to celebrate life in all of its dimensions, with all its daily successes and challenges. In the course of the life of these fraternities, some people perceive that they are no longer ?like? Marists but that they are ?in fact? Marists. It is at this moment that the members ask the Brother Provincial to be effectively welcomed into the Institute by means of his official recognition.

The official recognition of a fraternity is a particular rite of the Marist Institute that is celebrated within the Liturgy. Together at the altar, before the parish, the provincial and the assembly, each one of the members renews their baptismal promises and freely expresses their intention to faithfully belong to the Institute.
On Sunday, September 2nd, Severina Carvalho Cavinato, Dilermando Constante Felippe, Dalva Franco Ferreira, Cândido Contreiras Tavares, Lucia Teodoro Tavares, Adivar Gusberti, Ivete de Lourdes Frizon Gusberti, Clarice da Rocha Gomes and Eduardo Irapuan Heffener Gomes, all belonging to the Asunción Fraternity of Porto Alegre made their public promises, thus transforming themselves, in conformity with the Marist constitutions, as official members of the MChFM, an extension of the Institute.
