Nine new brothers

In a ceremony that was held on the 8th December in the Marcellin Champagnat Institute (novitiate) at Passo Fundo, the Marist Province of Rio Grande do Sul officially welcomed nine new members. The brothers made their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience before the Provincial, Brother Lauro Hochscheidt.

The profession of vows marks the conclusion of the two years of the novitiate, a period of prayer, meditation, pastoral work and community life. The new brothers will continue their formation at Viamã in 2007 accomplishing their scholasticate stage during which they pursue their studies leading them to the mission of a Marist apostle. During this period they will also decide the academic career that they wish to follow.

The new brothers are:
