Prayer for the 3rd Marist International Mission Assembly

Heavenly Father, we praise and thank you for the wonders that you have done to our Marist Institute. In the 200th anniversary of the Hermitage, we thank Marcellin, your servant, for the life he offered to us all, and all the Marists of Champagnat who have been giving themselves in the mission, education, and evangelization of children and young people, particularly those who are marginalized and in need.
As we begin the journey towards the 3rd Marist International Mission Assembly, we pray that you grant us the same grace that you gave to our founder 200 years ago to inspire and encourage us as we “exchange experiences, grasp the current social landscape, discern priorities, and propose future orientations and strategies for our Marist Mission worldwide”.
We entrust to you our third Marist International Mission Assembly which will be held in El Escorial, Spain, with the theme “We are a Global Family”. We pray for all the participants of the gathering that they may be filled with wisdom as they come together and generate a fruitful and insightful reflections and suggestions for the next General Chapter.
May Mary, our Good Mother, and Marcellin, our founder, be with us in this journey of looking beyond the present and envisioning the future of Marist mission through discernment, dialogue, and prayer.
We humbly ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
