Province of East Central Africa

On 10 August, the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven was celebrated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Bobandana, five Brothers of the province of East Central Africa made their definitive consecration through perpetual profession in the Marist Institute: Jean-Luc Maombi, Michel Longena, Jean-Paul Gununu, Jean-Claude Bundu and Fabien Bulaimu.

They prepared for this important moment by a 30 day retreat. Various brothers and numerous faithful of the parish took part in the celebration.

The Brother Provincial, Valentin Djawu, thanked them for the generosity of their definitive commitment to the ideal of Champagnat, in the Marist Institute and, at the same time, indicated what the children and young people were hoping from them.
