UISG and USG Seminar on Appreciative Enquiry and the Global Education Pact

More than 700 participants from different religious congregations, among them some Marists, will take part, from the 12th to the 14th November, in the IX Seminar of Formation of Educators, organised by the Education Commission of the Unions of Superiors General (UISG/USG). The Education and Evangelisation Secretariat of the General Administration has been involved in its organisation.

The seminar aims to respond to the call of Pope Francis who asked for the reconstruction of the global educational pact. The methodology of ” Appreciative Enquiry ” will be used and those who have registered will participate online. The meetings will take place from 14:00 to 18:00 (Rome time).

Pep Buetas, a lay Marist from the Province of L’Hermitage, and Miriam Subirana, an expert in the methodology of “Appreciative Inquiry”, will be the instructors of the Seminar.

Three main objectives will be developed during the working meeting:

– To deepen the challenge of rebuilding the GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL PACT proposed by Pope Francis.

– To reflect on the role of the Catholic school in facing this challenge, seeking common ways of working in networks.

– To learn about the method of Appreciative Inquiry, which is of great interest to our Congregations in their processes of analysis, discernment, planning and decision making.
