Visit of the link General Councillors for Europe to the Province of Compostela
General Councilors João Carlos do Prado and Ben Consigli have just begun a visit to the Marist Province of Compostela that will extend over the next three weeks, till 7 April. During this time, they will visit various educational and social works, meet the brothers’ communities and get to know the work of the provincial teams up close.
The Brother Provincial, Br. Máximo Blanco, is accompanying the Councillors on this pastoral visit to the Province, which Br. João Carlos is framing within the motto of the vocation year “to generate life” with an invitation to continue to dream big, as Marcellin Champagnat did, in the spirit of the “global family”.
The visit began on 20 March, in Valladolid, where the Councilors visited the two schools in the city, La Immaculada and Centro Cultural Vallisoletano, and met with the Provincial Administrator, Brother Eduardo Montenegro, and the Mission Council.
In this context, Brother Ben recalled that Champagnat’s dream began with “a small group of brothers” and now, even with the current difficulties, “we cannot stop dreaming”.
