FROM THE PROVINCIAL’S DESK …

Dear Brothers and friends, I am cheating a bit this month! I have taken a large part of my message from a letter that Brother Emili, our Superior General, wrote to the Provincials and their Councils. The Southern African Council discussed this letter during our meeting last month to make sure that we are prepared for future Marist events. As you will see from the extract from Brother Emili’s letter, we will have some preparations to do for the bicentenary of our Institute. Last month I wrote about renewal of ourselves and of the Institute, a theme proposed by Brother Emili for the whole Institute. We in Southern Africa must make sure that we do our utmost to support and be totally part of the initiative that will be offered to us.
