Jubilees are wonderful family occasions for all of us. The word has the same Latin root as ‘Jubilate’, ‘Rejoice’. So that is what we do! Whether it is a Brother’s silver, golden, diamond or platinum jubilee of his entry into Religious Life or a couple’s jubilee of marriage, we mark the day in a special way. We give thanks to God for the blessings received in life and for the graced witness of lives faithfully lived. We honour the jubilarians for bearing fruit that lasts, for lives shared, for love revealed.
