Resources for the feast of St Marcellin Champagnat – 6 june

This year’s video resource prepared for the Feast of St Marcellin Champagnat departs from our customary style of ‘straight out’ promotion of the Feast and St Marcellin and rather aims at our audience … school students immersed in contemporary Australian culture. We think the best way to use this purpose-made resource is in a whole school context. It may be during a school assembly in ‘Champagnat Week’, or it may even fit just before the celebration of Eucharist. However your school community decides to use it, we urge you to consider including some comment from a significant leader in the school community to contextualise and emphasise the message, perhaps chosen from the suggestions below.

The videos included on the accompanying disc are in several formats … we encourage you to use the highest quality format, embedding it in presentations where possible.

The video concludes with an invitation for students and staff to jump on to twitter and make comment about what they’ve seen: #maristaus. We hope people might be interested in doing this, and we encourage you to suggest this to students.
