« Around the same table »

The new community of Acharnès in Greece was opened by theProvince of L'Hermitage on 8 September 2012. It is composed of four Brothers : Georges Vidalis, superior, Gérard Cuinet, Georges Vidos and Rafel Escolà, two Greeks, a Frenchman and a Catalan.

On 11 January 2013,  there were many people in the house, passing through or spending some fraternal time. Brother Maurice Berquet, the Provincial Superior, spent the day with the community discovering the place of living and insertion. And it was with pleasure that we saw arrive on the day Brothers Matthieu and Gabriel.

Three young men – Christos, Periclis, and Ronaldi – shared the midday meal with the four Brothers of the community. The first two live in the quarter. One of their friends joined them to find out about the Marist community.

As the document Around the same table says in number 80, it is good to be able « to gather around the table to speak, to laugh, to be together, to be listened to, and also to share in depth. »
