Asia-Oceania collaboration on Champagnat Marist Formation

The Asia-Oceania collaborative initiative on the training of Facilitators of Marist Formation in the tradition of Champagnat started its first session on October 3, 2020. Br. Peter Caroll, Provincial of Australia, welcomed the participants in Zoom. He expressed the significance of the program as an opportunity for Marist family to come together to share knowledge of faith and personal stories and to work together as one global Marists.

Twenty-six lay and brothers coming from Malaysia (5), Singapore (1), Bangkok (1), Vietnam (2) and Philippines (17) participated in the said training. Tony Clarke, Director of the Marist Mission and Life Formation team for Australia and his Assistant Mr. Ryan Gato were the training facilitators.

That program is aimed at supporting and empowering participants to live out Marist Mission. Furthermore, it aims at preparing participants for the role of formation facilitators in their respective areas.

The second session took place on the 10th of October.
