Do what He tells you

It is thanks to Brother Gabriel Bolduc, who is involved in the life of the parish St-Jean-Baptiste de Drummondville, that this exhibition could take place. After a compromised understanding, the parish priest Pierre Rivard put at the disposal of André Lavoie, organizer of the exhibition, a vast room for this event. A well organized advertisement succeeded in joining people from Drummondville and its vicinities, thus many visitors came to admire this exhibition which treated the following themes:

Mary in art, iconography, letters, postcards and philately

The responsible of this Marian exhibition received the generosity of many, who enriched our collection with several and very interesting objects that will be shown in future exhibitions. We kindly thank them for their kindness. Besides, Br. Bernard Beaudin Provincial of the Marist Brothers took the opportunity to show some artistic treasures about Mary.

The exhibition welcomed the visitors in a comfortable space, since we could use half of this big Church for our event. The way the documents were set up offered an inspiring glance to the visitors, who could just admire the judicious choice in displaying the many objects that reminding Mary?s role in the history of the Church in our country.

During the centuries Mary has appeared several times here and there, but Her message remains the same: ?Pray. Convert yourselves. Come back to my son, make penitence??these invitations are still relevant in Quebec, a country where comfort and easy life are reigning, where Churches are getting empty ?such a Marian activity is above all an invitation to the faithfulness of the gospel. The Mary of the Gospel is calling us today, reminding us the recommendation made during the wedding at Cana: ?Do what He tells you?
Cordial thanks to the parishioners and confreres who helped in the preparation of this exhibition, that was really appreciated by the visitors who came. The visitors? book that was put at their disposal showed us the many complementary remarks written under many signatures. I want to share some of them with you:
