Marist Martyrs in Spain
On 13 October, 68 Marists were beatified in Tarragona. Brother Luis Serra has devoted a book to them which was presented at Les Avellanes on 11 October. Today, thanks to the work of the Spanish Marist Conference (CME), we have PDF versions available in 4 other languages. You can download the PDF versions or, if you prefer, download the EXE file to skim through on your computer.
The chapters of the book, organised by communities, emphasize the importance each group of brothers gave to the community dimension of the Gospel, lived in the day-to-day tasks, but also recount the particular circumstances in which each suffered martyrdom.
In the author’s words, the book is intended to be an invitation « to silence, meditation and prayer. »
