On the anniversary of Saint Marcellin Champagnat’s birth in 2008, the communications office of the general house published the first issue of the newsletter “Marist News.” Today, Nov. 14, 2017, we are publishing the 500th issue.
Published weekly, the newsletter is sent by email to over 6,000 registered in the mailing list. Recipients receive the newsletter in the four languages used by the general administration: English (1551 entries), Spanish (3011 entries), French (592 entries) and Portuguese (884 entries).
In 2008, Marist News was created to replace “Latest News” and “Marist Bulletin”, the first was for the brothers and the second for the laity. The increasing participation of the laity in the charism, in Marist life and mission motivated this change, through a means that reaches as many consecrated as laity, transmitting the vigor of Champagnat’s dream.
