Meeting of coordinators and animators of vocations ministry

The Brothers Today Secretariat organized an online meeting of coordinators and animators of vocations ministry on August 30. Two schedules were arranged, one at 9:00 AM Rome time, in which there were 10 participants and another at 10:00 PM, with 14 participants.

The meeting was designed to reflect together and share on the first goal of the Year of Marist Vocations (YMV), that is, rediscover the original passion that inspired us to be Marists. Using the words of Pope Francis in his homily during the World Day of Consecrated Life on February 2, 2022 as motivation, the participants first spent some moments of personal reflection and then went into small groups for the sharing.

Back in the plenary, some of the common themes among what was shared in the small groups were: the experience of the unconditional love of God; passion for teaching children and youth; brothers as witnessing to a simple life, family spirit, welcoming, fraternity, spirituality; the place of Mary; being global.

Towards the end of the meeting, the Secretariat invited the participants to perform some simple tasks in line with the celebration of the YMV. The next meeting was also scheduled.
