Meeting of the General Councils of the Marist Brothers and the De La Salle Brothers
On February 12, the General Councils of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and the Marist Brothers met at the General House. “Sharing in an inter-congregational way is a joy and offers mutual support. It uncovers many strengths and challenges we have in common and encourages both Congregations in life and mission,” stated Brother Ernesto Sánchez, Superior General.
The main objective of the meeting was to share the leadership experience of the two religious congregations. Part of the meeting was devoted to evaluating the Fratelli project, a joint initiative of the two institutes in Lebanon and Colombia, with emphasis on the prospects for their common journey.
The Eucharistic celebration and dinner crowned the fraternal meeting.
