Organizational meeting for 2nd batch of Friends of Marcellin

On July 29, fifty-five persons form in the East Asia Province participated in the organizational meeting of the 2nd Batch of the Friends of Marcellin Program which will begin its first module on August 7.   Br. Ador Santiago, Provincial, gave his welcome message and thanked the participants for their interest to begin the journey of discovering Marist life.

During the six-month “Friends of Marcellin” program participants meet every first Saturday of the month to learn key themes about Marist life:  Marist spirituality, and shared life and mission.  It provides opportunity to know more about St. Marcellin and his deep love of Mary and how it is lived today as one’s pathway of following Jesus.  It also provides an opportunity for faith sharing.

Mr. Jan Maverick Rabino (Philippines), one of the participants of the 1st Batch, shared his appreciation for the Marist formation he received.  He encouraged the participants to continue discovering the wealth of Marist life.

Friends of Marcellin is an organized group composed of persons who want to know more the charism of St. Marcellin Champagnat and desire to live it, are in love with Mary, and have the apostolic Zeal to serve humanity. Across the Province of East Asia, these persons responded to the invitation of taking formation pathways towards discovering and deepening the richness of Marist Lay life.
