Presence in the midst of youth
In August we held our first Leadership Camp for Haiti in the buildings of the College Notre Dame de la Nativité in Dame-Marie. Those taking part were 30 young people from our colleges of Latibolière and Dame-Marie, as well as the postulants and novices and 6 Brothers, co-ordinated by Br Agustín Acevedo from México.
Three days during which the young people had the opportunity to discover their leadership abilities.
Three days of living together, of challenges (most of them overcome) and a lot of learning.
Three days when the brothers who were present could come to know the youth as they are, with all their abilities and limitations.
We are aware that this is only the beginning of a project to form our Haitian youth as leaders capable of transforming the little part of the world in which they live.
