Province of « Brasil Centro-Norte »
The Province of « Brasil Centro-Norte » organised the second meeting for young brothers from 11 to 13 October, in Belo Horizonte. The topic chosen was « Religious consecration », and the motto, « Pray and share the living of the vows ».
Among the activities, there were times with the Provincial, Br Wellington Medeiros ; a sharing of projects such as the formation itinerary which, in 2013, had sent four Brothers of the Province for the experience of vocational discernment to Cochabamba, Bolivia, and the construction of a common project for young religious life in the Province. The participants also discussed some proposals : the missions in the District of Amazonia, vocations ministry, and some points relative to perpetual vows in 2014.
The meeting, co-ordinated by the Commission of Formation and Consecrated Life, brought together brothers in temporary profession and those with two years of perpetual vows.
The first meeting was held last May. The young brothers reflected on the mystic and the prophet, analysed the results of the questionnaire on the modalities of Marist religious life, dialogued on missionary experiences and shared life in informal social gatherings.
