REMAR in Puerto Rico: Leadership School 1

Towards the end of the month of May 2012 Leadership School 1 was held for the young people who participate in the REMAR group (blue and yellow travesías) from the two Marist schools in Puerto Rico–Guaynabo and Manatí. Twenty-three young people participated, accompanied by a group of seven timoneles and four Brothers.

The peaceful atmosphere of the “Christ the Redeemer” retreat house, located in the town of Aguas Buenas, helped them to reflect, to pray and to encounter Jesus; creating an environment of friendship and living experiences of personal and group growth. The remeros are now prepared to commit themselves as Christian leaders in their daily life.

Congratulations to the youth who participated and to their animators. We ask Mary, the Star of the Sea, and Marcellin Champagnat to be with them and may they be able to continue encountering Jesus, the Great Timonel, in the travesía of life.
