Child Protection Sunday and Child Protection Week (4-10 September)
The Australian Catholic Church’s Child Protection Sunday (10 Sept 2017) runs in conjunction with National Child Protection Week (4-10 September). This year we are focusing on a Royal Commission’s key element that when children participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously an institution is better prepared to be child safe. So that the Child is a stakeholder and not just a client of safeguarding. The theme is “See Me Hear Me”.
This year we have commissioned a video (see it here down) and brochure through the Australian Catholic University on what children think about their safety.
