60th anniversary of Quebec?s Marist Camp

More than 300 took part in the celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the Marist Camp of Rawdon in Quebec, Canada, coinciding with 10 years of its lay leadership.

“It was a wonderful day where the Spirit among all those present helped to solidify this bond that unites them and reinforce the desire to continue the work initiated by the Marist Brothers in 1957,” the Camp’s general manager, Jocelyn Magny, and the board’s chairman, Alain Faucher, told the communications office of the general house.

The event, held on Sept. 2, included a Mass followed by a lunch, leisure activities, a highlight of the work of the past 60 years and concluded with a dinner.

During the ceremony, participants also commemorated the camp’s first ten years since the laity took over the work inspired by Saint Marcellin Champagnat’s pedagogy.
